  23.  OS9MAX is a unique software solution to handle OS-9 disks on MS-DOS PC. The
  24.  software allows any read, write, and format operation on single-, double-, and
  25.  high-density diskettes. Custom versions for PCMCIA chipcards, media imagefiles
  26.  and hard disks are available on demand. Your can transfer text and binary
  27.  files from the floppy disk drive to the PC hard disk and vice versa with full
  28.  path name as you know it from MS-DOS and OS-9. The program can be completely
  29.  remote-controlled via its command line or by means of an ascii command file,
  30.  which contains the program command list. OS9MAX allows automatic format detect
  31.  and manual setting of all physical disk parameters (tracks, sectors, sector
  32.  offset, track offset, sector size, block size, format headcode, double
  33.  stepping, density,.. ). After detection or manual specification of the disk
  34.  format parameter, you can add the format to the internal format list with a
  35.  single command. OS9MAX allows any PC to transfer OS-9 diskettes via modem and
  36.  telephone line. The reproduction or duplication of OS-9 media is supported.

  50.  DISK FORMAT                                            STATE OF IMPLEMENTATION

  52.  Predefined are all OS-9 formats of Microware, Oettle + Reichler, Eltec , PEP,
  53.  Motorola, Ultrascience, ... (38W7, 58W7, 38U0, 58U0, uv380, uv580, 3803, 5803,
  54.  dm0, dh0, d0, dx0...). The "auto" command is provided to detect formats which
  55.  are not predefined. OS9MAX will detect really every double- or high- density
  56.  format. A 'user-defined-format' option is provided. OS9MAX is highly parameter
  57.  driven, every format paramter is adjustable by the user. The disk format
  58.  descriptors can be saved as ASCII files.

  61.  INSTALLATION                                             HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

  63.  "Plug and Play"-software. No installation is required. You only have to copy
  64.  the program to your hard disk. System requirements are a AT class PC or Laptop
  65.  (>80286) running MS-DOS. OS9MAX offers different screen modes: from full
  66.  screen SAA GUI style mode to B/W LCD or monocrome display mode. OS9MAX will
  67.  run in standard DOS environment or under MS WINDOWS 3.1 (DOS Box).

  135.  read the desired diskettes, please give us a call or fax. We will incorporate
  136.  this special format into our software as soon as possible. We have many more
  137.  solutions available than listed in this information.

  139.  The OS9MAX software supports special diskette drives and controllers to handle
  140.  Japanese media formats with FM recording. OS9MAXMC supports external PCMCIA
  141.  drives.

  148.  What we need is only a OS-9 disk for testing purposes which has already been
  149.  formatted on your OS-9 system. Please write some files and directories to the
  150.  media after formatting: this will allow extensive testing over the entire
  151.  media.
